Earth’s Burning Lungs: Amazone rainforest Fire

Kolkata 27th June: The last year in 2019 from August 15 to 22 a terrible burning happened in Amazon rainforest. Amazon rainforest is considered to be the largest rainforest in the world, covering an area around 5.5 million square kilometres. This rainforest is called the 'Lungs of the earth'. It spreads across the nine countries. The majority of the forest is contained within Brazil and the other countries like Peru Colombia and minor areas in Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia France.Amazon rainforest is the home for the number of animals. Many numbers of animals are died by burning. It is the saddest incident in 2019. Many trees have been burned and this also causes a lot of economical disaster. And along with this, the whole environment is polluted. Trees give us oxygen without which we could not survive. Amazon rainforest contributes almost 20% of oxygen. This burning has taken for 16 days and as a result in a major loss of trees and biodiversity. This is a great loss for our world. So, in future, we should be more aware that this kind of incident may not happen again.

Water Crisis : A Big Problem

Kolkata 27th June: It says that 'water is life'. Water is the most essential element of our life. But in the current days due to increasing population, we are going to face a big crisis of water.
Apart from drinking, we use water in bathing, washing, industry and even in cultivation and some others. In the early days, the river and the pond water was very fresh and people used to drink it, but now it is very polluted. So we depend only on our underground water. And as a result, the level of underground water is going down day by day. We have to face the water problem mostly in summer. In last Summer, we have seen a terrible water crisis in Chennai. The people were facing a big problem for drinking water. The water crisis mainly caused due to our increasing population. Nowadays our climatic change is the cause for water crisis which mainly happen due to our man-made pollution. So which we should be more aware of this terrible problem. If we could not save water, we could not save our life in future.

Safe Drive, Save Life : Awareness Campaign By WB Govt.

Kolkata 27th June: Due to the development of science and technology, the number of vehicles is increasing day by day on road. The people want a more comfortable and luxurious life. Every people when goes to their destination they would like to travel by their private cars and sometimes they do not maintain the basic traffic norms. And as a result, they have to face an accident. 'Safe Drive, Save Life' is mainly an awareness campaign which was launched by West Bengal government Mamata Banerjee on July 8, 2016. West Bengal honourable chief minister played a great role in this aspect. The aim of this campaigning is to reducing road accidents, which is one of the leading causes of deaths and disabilities in the state. So by this campaigning government want to aware of the importance to drive safely. The safe drive can save ones' life & Rush drive would take one's life. The driver should maintain the traffic rules properly for a better ride because our life is more valuable than time. So, in conclusion, we can say this awareness campaigning taken a great role in our modern life as well as our state. It helps us to build the accident-less journey and a better life.
